I will be teaching a set of Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskars) at the Yogathon taking place in Tooting at the Holy Trinity Church Hall from 10am till 12pm on the 10th March. The Yogathon is in aid of the Spires Charity, a homeless charity in the local area, we really hope to raise as much as possible. Please feel free to come and join, you really don't need to be an experienced Yogi at all. Also there will be the most delicious canapes and drinks served by my beautiful friend Alice of lovealocavore- her food is incredible and she has been voted the 6th best pop up restaurateur in London. Please feel free to come and join in by getting in touch with Francesca on 07825795717 or via email yoga108@rocketmail.com
On Thursday night I had the most amazing experience, I tried something totally new and attended a Gong bath at Evolve in South Kensington. It was incredible! I cannot recommend it highly enough. Around 5 people lay on mats under warm blankets listening and feeling the vibrations of these amazing gongs that were played by Gordon Coxon. It is an absolute experience, much more encompassing than Tibetan singing bowls which are usually attuned to a specific area of your body or chakra. The whole idea with the gong bath is one of cleansing, so that the vibrations from the gongs break through the mental and physical blocks in the body. I definitely found this to be the case with my body and mind, I felt the physical tightness in my right side dissolve totally. Gordon brought us to peaks of fear and at one point I felt as though there was this huge weight resting on my body, which just dissolved away with the vibrations of the gongs. It is most definitely an experience of self exploration, so hard to achieve in a space 45 minutes normally. I was left in this state of vibrational stillness, as though I glistened. It is truly an epic journey of experience, go and enjoy it.....
This is my first blog,I am very excited to share my ideas and activities with you all! For those of you who have followed me as a teacher, it is a true joy and honour to have you as my students and also as teachers.
On a totally different note, I have just booked to go to Bhakti Fest in Joshua Tree, California this September. I will be going with one of my beautiful teachers from London, Jessica Mitchell and will also be able to catch up with Shiva Rea another beloved teacher of mine. I will keep you posted of how that goes, hopefully with lots of delicious photos. Much Love and Joyful Blessings xx |
